As for Lindsay Mills (flickr), it’s fair to say she possesses several physical qualities that are commonly associated with being hot. She has a torso with several limbs attached, and even a face, with symmetrical features!

Edward Snowden becomes overnight sex symbol as the internet brands him 'geek hot'

Booz Allen Employees Think Edward Snowden Is A "Douche"

Edward Snowden doesn't seem all that likable. That's probably how he was able to do what he did.

Booz Allen said that Edward Snowden, who had been assigned to a team in Hawaii for less than three months, was earning a salary “at a rate of $122,000.” Snowden claimed he made about $200,000, a figure that could have included overtime pay and other bonuses.

From Lindsay Mills blog "Cue one of my favorite theme songs. Yes, I can admit I was a treky child. The thought of traveling through the stars at warp speed, meeting aliens and having epic battles was thrilling."

George Takei is hardly the only American concerned about the NSA's massive surveillance programs. But unlike most people, his fears are rooted in the memory of the government persecution he suffered firsthand in a Japanese internment camp.

George Takei "We were little more than numbers to our jailers, each of us given a tag to wear to camp like a piece of luggage. My tag was 12832-C"

Hat tip for Glenn Dude at Instapundit: This is a good time to reference Daniel Solove's "I’ve Got Nothing to Hide" and Other Misunderstandings of Privacy". It’s the #1 paper on SSRN for all-time downloads, and with good reason.

Hold on to your tinfoil hat! NSA, the rest of the alphabet soup, foreign countries, and little brother are data mining and profiling! WOW, I can't believe these groups are actually doing their jobs!

Invasion of Privacy : Everyone is using their smartphones on the toilet. You know this is why cell phones are so germy, right? A semi-scientific study.

Telephone operators in British Palestine, 1920s

Communication monitoring has been going on since the first telephone switchboards were install. It would gross negligence not to use a powerful tool that your adversaries or competitors use. Communication monitoring is never going to go away, it's here to stay.

It's too cheap and easy. If you were to "stack" twenty plus home computers with dedicated broadband modems you would have a powerful computer. Think internet cafe or game shop...

Edward Snowden "I think it is really tragic that an American has to move to a place that has a reputation for less freedom. Still, Hong Kong has a reputation for freedom in spite of the People's Republic of China. It has a strong tradition of free speech."

Benjamin Franklin did leak "secret" letters

If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas -

Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment. - Benjamin Franklin
